The Pension Minute is amended by the addition to paragraph 2 of clause No.17 of the following proviso,

-

"Provided however that in the case of an officer (other than a Judge of the Supreme Court) who is so transferred from a place in which the rules regulating pensions do not offer the same privileges to an officer transferred from the Colony as are accorded under this Minute to an officer transferred to the Colony and whose aggregate service in the Colony and elsewhere would have made him eligible, had his service been wholly in the Colony, to a pension under this Minute, such officer way, with the sanction of the Governor, on his ultimate retire-

ment from the service (provided such retirement takes place from the Colony and that he has served for a period of at least five years in the Colony) be awarded, in lieu of a pension calculated in the manner prescribed in the preceding paragraph, a pension representing the differenc between the pension or pensions earned by such officer in

respect of his service under the Crown elsewhere and a

pension calculated as if his service had been wholly in the Colony: Provided further that in no case shall a

pension calculated in accordance with the above proviso

exceed by more than £200 per annum the pension which might

be otherwise awarded to the officer in question.'
